SCI Engineered Materials® is committed to an ongoing program of upgrading its technology to produce materials of the highest quality. The size of the facility has expanded significantly to accommodate our growing equipment and increased sales. The total manufacturing process has been organized to ensure that materials travel through the facility in the most efficient manner possible, resulting in a streamlined work process and lower costs for the customer.
Our in-house capabilities set us apart from other engineered material manufacturers and are the pillars of our success. We don’t contract these important processes out to other companies because it could jeopardize both the quality of the materials and the turnaround time, both of which are critical to the success of our customers. Our positioning of capabilities represents our commitment to quality products and timely delivery.
Bonding Services
Advanced in-house bonding capabilities allow SCI to indium bond many different materials. The facilities that are currently in place permit us to bond planar targets up to 72″ long x 15″ wide and rotatable targets up to 4 meters.
Vacuum Hot Pressing Services
Many ceramic powders cannot be sintered to full density, so we employ Vacuum Hot Pressing as a technique for making ceramic (and powder metal) targets that are near-net-shape and high density.
Recycling & Reclaim Services
We’re equipped to store and keep a detailed record of your precious metal recycling stream, including: recycle settlement, reclaim amounts, tile pressing, bonding, and shipment of new sputtering target assemblies.
Bonding Services
We offer planar indium bonding, rotatable indium bonding, and a High-Energy bond for demanding coating applications.
Evaporation Materials
Designed for high-purity applications, our evaporation materials ensure consistent and reliable deposition processes.
