Titanium (Ti)

This lustrous silver, transition metal has a low density, high strength, and is resistant to corrosion. Titanium is the 9th most abundant metal on Earth’s crust and can be found in its oxide form in most igneous rocks, their sediment, and bodies of water. It is able to form borides, carbides, and nitrides. There are almost 50 different grades of titanium currently used in various industries. Most Titanium is used to create Titanium Dioxide that has the ultimate end of being white pigment for a variance of industries. Titanium alloys play a diverse part in the manufacturing of aerospace & marine equipment. Primary used for its resistance to corrosion, and strength, titanium is used in architecture as well as automotive applications.
