Cadmium Selenide is an n-type semiconductor with a black to red black appearance & comes in three different morphologies (wurtzite, sphalerite, and rock-salt crystal structure formations). Cadmium Selenide is transparent to Infra-Red light, and has been used in photoresistors and in windows.
