Empirically written as TaCx(x =~ 0.4-~1), Tantalum Carbide appears as different brown/grey powders and can be pressed and sintered into desired shapes. This refectory ceramic is incredibly hard and electrically conductive with a melting point of up to 3880 °C, and a superconducting transition temperature of 10.35K.
