Niobium Carbide (NbC)

This carbide of Niobium is a very hard/stiff refectory ceramic, exhibiting Young’s modulus of around 452GPa, with a shear modulus of around 182GPa. Niobium Carbide powders are used in micro-alloyed steels since they are insoluble in all steels at all production temperatures.
