Zirconium (Zr)

Zirconium is atomic number 40 and is typically used as a refractor or opacifier. It’s thermally conductive at 6 W/(m·K) with an electrical resistivity of 421 nΩ·m (at 20 °C). It acts as cladding for nuclear reactor fuels, while ZrO2 is used in space and aeronautic industries. This metal is very resistant to corrosion and is used as an alloying agent for materials that face harsh environments.
