Antimony Telluride (Sb2Te3) Sputtering Targets
Antimony Telluride (Sb2Te3)
Antimony Telluride is a binary chalcogenide of antimony and tellurium, and can be used as an n-type or p-type semiconductor depending on the dopant. This material is a grey, crystalline solid whose atomic structure consists of alternating layers of (2) Antimony and (3) Tellurium. Sb2Te3 has been explored as a low-cost thermoelectric material, which means some of this material’s applications include solid-state refrigeration, thermal sensors/detectors, power generation. Materials like this (more commonly Bi2Te3) are being studied for their ability to not only cool systems, but to use unwanted waste heat to generate electricity.
