Indium iron oxide (InFe2O4) can be used as a protective thin film (transparent, conductive, and corrosion resistant; TCCR) for certain Silicon solar cells, which can be used in immersion-type photoelectrochemical cells for hydrogen production. This material has also shown promise in gas detection sensors for Ozone, and Nitrogen Dioxide.
