Lanthanum Titanate (LaTiO3)

Lanthanum titanate (LaTiO3) is an inorganic compound composed of lanthanum, titanium, and oxygen atoms. It is a white, crystalline powder that is insoluble in water. It is a ferroelectric material, meaning it exhibits a spontaneous electrical polarization that can be reversed by external electric fields. This makes the material useful in a variety of applications, such as electrostatic actuators and transducers. Lanthanum titanate is also used in various electrooptic devices and high-temperature superconductors as well as in the production of catalysts for the conversion of methane to higher hydrocarbons. In addition, it is used in the production of photocatalysts for water splitting and air purification.
