Molybdenum Carbide (Mo2C)

Molybdenum Carbide or Mo2C is a tough, incredibly strong refractory ceramic typically used for tool bits for cutting tools. MoC is an extremely hard refractory ceramic material used in commercial cutting tool bits and other applications where its exceptional high melting point, heat resistance, and ability to handle high stresses are beneficial. The material shares much in common with tantalum carbide and niobium carbide, which are used similarly.
