Molybdenum Disulfide (MoS2) Sputtering Targets

Molybdenum Disulfide (MoS2)

Molybdenum Disulfide (MoS2) is a black-silvery compound of molybdenum and sulfur which is typically mined as molybdenite. MoS2 is typically used as a dry lubricant because the material exhibits superlubricity which is defined as such that, as the friction increases, the shear strength also increases. This friction-reducing quality can be increased by doping the material with Chromium (Cr). Molybdenum Disulfide is electrically conductive and finds many uses in microelectronics including biosensing, photodetectors, and supporting switchable transistors.
